Road
Mallorca has a modern road network that connects all municipalities and coastal areas. If you want to travel the island, go to your hotel, go on an excursion or practice any sport in specific facilities, three motorways will make your journey a lot easier.
But if you don’t want to use the motorway, Mallorca has a wide secondary road network, which is well asphalted and properly signposted.
If you have a look at the road map of Mallorca, you will notice that the road layout is arterial, since it goes from Palma to the rest of localities on the island.
The Palma-Alcúdia, Palma-Port d’Andratx and Palma-Llucmajor motorways guarantee the safety and the speed of any road journey.
Palma and the airport are linked via the Palma-Llucmajor motorway. A beltway connects Palma with the main roads and motorways.
The main road axis of Mallorca meets in Palma. In 2011, there are plans to build a second belt that surrounds the city of Palma.
