How to arrive
Mallorca is the biggest island of the autonomous region of the Balearic Islands. It is located in front of the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, 120 nautical miles away, between Menorca and Ibiza. Mallorca has a maximum width of 96 km and is 78 km long. It has a total area of 3640 km², 554 of which shape the Mallorcan coastline.
The most comfortable and quickest way to get to Mallorca is by plane. The international Son Sant Joan airport is the third largest airport in Spain, after Madrid and Barcelona.
Ships are the second best choice to travel to Mallorca. They are the only way that allows you to move around the island with your own vehicle. The Port of Palma is closely connected with the ports of Barcelona, Valencia, Dénia and Ibiza, with daily departures in both directions. The average duration of the journey from Mallorca to the Peninsula is five hours.
People who love the sea, sailing and nautical tourism know pretty well that Mallorca is a perfect enclave in the Mediterranean. A wide range of yacht clubs, marinas, and leisure harbours where you can moor your boat, as well as a long list of additional nautical services, turn the island into a privileged place where you can put in sporadically, hibernate and also sail placidly along the coast.
