Beaches

The island has 208 beaches, 158 of which are sand beaches. Many of them have been awarded the FEE’s Blue Flag certification. We have beaches that are perfect for families and to practice water sports, but we also have secluded beaches, nudist beaches and beaches with a wide variety of options just a few metres from the sea. In most of them you can go topless without any problems and many also have disabled access.
The Mallorcan coast consists of a series of almost never-ending beaches and coves. You can choose where to swim: from a singular and isolated place on the Tramuntana coast to the beaches of Artà, the area of Es Migjorn or a typical sand beach with all the services you need, such as the beaches in the areas of Pollença, Alcúdia, Platges de Muro, Can Picafort, Capdepera, Cala Millor, Ses Covetes, Es Trenc, Platja de Palma, Palmanova, Magaluf, Santa Ponça, Peguera, etc.
Most beaches give you the opportunity to practice water sports and hire sailboard, catamarans, kayaks and paddle boats. For those willing to take scuba diving lessons, equipment can be rented on the island. In addition, for those who prefer water slides to snorkel breathers, Mallorca has a wide variety of water parks to offer.
