The prestigious German magazine Golf Journal (March 2011) has described Mallorca as the second favourite golf destination for German players. Everything is a sign. The same magazine has also awarded three Mallorcan golf courses for their excellent quality: Alcanada, Arabella and Golf d’Andratx.
These awards are the result of a survey made among readers and users that visit www.golf.de.
In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Mallorca was chosen as the first favourite destination to play golf due to its climate conditions, the abundance and the quality of its 24 golf courses, the accommodation possibilities, the car rental opportunities and its good international airport connections. The island welcomes more than 100 thousand players every year thanks to the thousand flights that link Palma Airport with the main European cities. Such flights make short breaks and weekend stays possible.A golf enthusiast can spend three weeks in Mallorca and easily play in a different course every day.
In some golf courses you can take classes at all levels.
Golf enthusiasts, no matter where their accommodation is, do not need to go further than 20 km in order to find an excellent course where they can practice.
Even some hotels and residential areas have their own golf course.
